Stiamo parlando di Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, il volto storico di Steffy Forrester, figlia di Ridge e Taylor, eterna innamorata di Liam Spencer e rivale di chiunque si metta sulla sua strada.
Attrice di talento, con un grande amore per la musica (è anche DJ e cantante), Jacqueline ha lasciato B&B per un po’ di tempo, per dedicarsi ad altri progetti, ma ora è tornata da protagonista ed è qui per restare.
TWB: Jacqueline, tu sei una ragazza piena di interessi: come fai a trovare il tempo per fare bene tutto quello che fai? Sei attrice, cantante, gestisci un blog… dicci i tuoi segreti!
JMW: Vorrei aver bisogno di sole tre ore di sonno ogni notte così da avere abbastanza tempo per fare e provare tutto ciò che voglio. Ci sono settimane toste in cui devo rimanere concentrata sulle mie 3 principali priorità e poi ci sono i periodi artistici in cui posso giocare con le altre 7. Se tu non apri te stesso/a e provi ad usare il tuo lato creativo in tutte le sue sfaccettature allora non riuscirai mai ad avere la visuale ampia. Sarebbe un peccato! Quindi Gioca e Divertiti con qualsiasi cosa ti piaccia e sentiti libera/o di esprimerti. Purché tutto questo ti faccia divertire, che è la cosa più importante. E’ tutta una questione di equilibrio.
TWB: La tua Steffy è una persona forte e determinata, pronta a combattere per ottenere ciò che desidera. Quanto di te c’è in Steffy per renderla così forte? Ci sono elementi che hai in comune con lei? Anche tu sembri una donna determinata con molte idee ed interessi, proprio come lei.
JMW: Steffy è una parte di me, mi è piaciuto sviluppare le sue mille sfaccettature. Lei è amata e odiata e in ogni caso, come attrice, per me questa è una cosa importante. Non vorrei mai che Steffy fosse noiosa come una carta da parati. Le cose che condivido con Steffy…la forte lealtà verso la famiglia e le amicizie. Sì, come Steffy, combatterei fino alla morte per proteggere le persone che amo. Lei è anche consapevole di alcuni suoi comportamenti sbagliati e se ne prende la responsabilità proprio come faccio io. Steffy è anche una scaltra donna d’affari con una saggezza metropolitana, ma se si sente minacciata, si comporterà come una vipera prima o poi. Io, invece, potrei aspettare anni LOL.
TWB: Per un periodo hai lasciato B&B per dedicarti ad altri progetti e noi siamo stati estremamente contenti di sapere che saresti tornata per restare. Devi sapere, Jacquie, che noi fan non sempre amiamo i recasting dei personaggi perché gli attori e le attrici fanno parte delle nostre giornate, ogni giorno, trattandosi di una soap. Eppure capiamo che a volte sia necessario, come nel caso dei personaggi di Thomas e Ridge, il fratello ed il padre di Steffy, rispettivamente (Pierson Fodé e Thorsten Kaye).
Com’è lavorare con questi due nuovi bravi e bei colleghi?
E com’è stato tornare ad interpretare Steffy dopo un periodo così lungo?
JMW: Se un fedele telespettatore ama un personaggio e quel personaggio è fondamentale per il prosieguo della storyline allora il recasting è fondamentale anche se si parla di Steffy. Certo, mi mancano il mio papà e i miei fratelli del passato perchè ognuno di loro aveva portato un propria identità al personaggio, ma mi diverto a recitare con Pierson e Thorsten. Anche loro sono favolosi e aggiungono elementi differenti al gioco di Steffy.
TWB: Il tuo personaggio, figlia e nipote di stilisti, respira moda da sempre.
Come spettatrici, notiamo che tu e le altre ragazze del cast avete sempre look molto accurati e alla moda, proprio come ci si aspetterebbe da persone che vivono nell’industria della moda.
Ci racconti qualcosa di quello che accade al trucco, prima di girare?
JMW: Non saprei da dove iniziare. Posso dirvi che noi ragazze ci divertiamo molto. Io dico sempre che dovremmo far vedere quello che succede dietro le quinte. LOL.
TWB: Scegli tu cosa indossare e che trucco fare per una determinata scena o è una scelta che spetta alla tua make up artist?
JMW: E’ una visione collaborativa. Produttori, truccatori, guardarobieri, etc… Io mi esprimo quando penso che il mio personaggio sta andando incontro a qualcosa di importante, ad esempio la fine di una relazione… così parlo chiaro se penso che Steffy debba indossare più trucco o meno trucco. Quando Steffy si sente sfacciata di sicuro la vedrete con un intenso smoky eyeliner.
TWB: Tu hai un blog, Just My Wild, dove parli di trucco e moda: che tipo di rapporto hai con tutto questo?
Dai a noi ragazze un suggerimento: quali sono i tre prodotti di make up di cui non puoi fare a meno?
JMW: Sono Editor-in-Chief di JustMyWild. E’ un online magazine su stile, viaggi, benessere e amore. Io lo curo e ne sono proprietaria, è diventata una meravigliosa esperienza. Voglio raggiungere i miei fans in maniera più approfondita che tramite un semplice tweet. Per questo aggiungerò una sezione di domande e risposte solo per loro. E nelle prossime settimane mostrerò ai fans di Steffy PROPRIO il makeup che uso in Beautiful. Per quanto riguarda i miei 3 prodotti preferiti: la BBcream di Garnier, il blush in crema di TARTE, lo scrub allo zucchero per le labbra di Lush.

We’re talking about Jacqueline MacInnes Wood who’s been playing Steffy Forrester since 2008.
She’s Ridge and Taylor’s daughter, she’s forever in love with Liam Spencer and a rival for those who get on her way.
A talented actress with so many interstests, Jacqui Mac is also a DJ and a singer.
Jacqueline left B&B for a long period, but now she’s back with a regular contract and she’s here to stay as one of the main characters.
TWB: Jacqueline, you’re a girl with lots of interests: how do you manage to find quality time for everything you do? You’re an actress, a singer, you run a blog… tell us your secrets!
JMW: I wish I only needed 3hrs of sleep every night as I never have enough time to do and try everything I want to. I have my smart weeks of keeping it very focused on my top 3 priorities and then I have my artistic weeks where I can play with the other 7. If you don’t open yourself and try your artistic side with all facets then you will never see the big picture. Such a shame! So Play and Enjoy with whatever you love and feel free to express. As long as you enjoy them, that is is most important. Its all about balance.
TWB: Your character Steffy can be very strong, determined and ready to fight to get what she wants.
How much of your real self do you give to Steffy to make her so strong? Are there any elements you share with her? You seem a very determined woman with so many ideas and interests just like your character.
JMW: Steffy is part of me, I have loved developing her multifaceted sides. She is loved and hated , either way as actor that is important to me. I just never want steffy to be boring like wall paper. The elements I share with Steffy.. strong family and friendship loyalty. Yes I will fight to the death to protect my loved ones, like Steffy. She also can acknowledge her wrong doings and take ownership of them just like me. She is a shrewd business woman with street savvy but if she is threatened she will come out like a viper sooner than later. I on the other hand might wait a year lol…
TWB: For a period you left B&B to work to other projetcs and we were extremely happy to know you would come back to stay. You know, Jacquie, fans don’t always love recastings because actors and actresses become a part of our day – every single day – when we watch a soap! And yet sometimes it is necessary as it was for the roles of Ridge and Thomas, Steffy’s brother and father. How is it to work with these two new talented and charming collegues (Pierson Fodé and Thorsten Kaye)? And how was to be back as Steffy after so much time?
JMW: If the loyal viewer loves a character and that character is important enough for story lines to continue then recasting is understandable even for Steffy. Do I miss my past Dad and brothers yes of course I do because each of them brought an identity of their own. Do I enjoy acting with Pierson and Thorsten of course they are fabulous as well and bring different elements to the game for Steffy.
TWB: Your character has been breathing fashion since she was born, being her father and grandfaher two fashion designers, and
as viewers, we notice that you and the other girls of the cast have very accurate and fashionable outfits, make up and hair dos, just like one would expect from people involved in the fashion industry.
Can you tell us something about what happens when you and the other girls get ready before shooting?
JMW: I wouldn’t know where to begin. But I can tell you that we girls have fun getting ready. I always said we need show about what goes on behind the camera lol
TWB: Do you choose what to wear and what kind of make up is right for a certain scene or is it your make up artist’s choice?
JMW: Its a collaborative vision. Producers, Makeup artist, wardrobe etc.. I do have say when I really believe my character is going through something i.e. breakup.. so I speak up if I feel if Steffy would wear less makeup or more makeup.. When Steffy is feeling sassy you’ll definitely see that sharp smoky eyeliner.
TWB: You have a blog “Just My Wild” where you talk about make up, fashion and more: what’s your relationship with all this?
Give us girls a hint: what are the three make up products you could never do without?
JMW: Editor-in-Chief of JustMyWild. Its a online lifestyle magazine focusing on style, travel, health, and love. It is owned and curated by me and it has been such a wonderful experience. I wanted to reach out to my fans on a deeper level than just a tweet. I will be putting up a Q&A soon just for my fans..And next week for all those Steffy fans I’ll be letting you in on EXACTLY what makeup I use on The Bold and Beautiful.
